Sapa, Northern Vietnam

I have been so excited to blog these photos, my fingers have been itching to edit them! So in between long train journeys and whenever I get a bit of time I have been able to edit the below photos from our trip up to Sapa in Northern Vietnam. Sapa is a small little village, typically covered in mist due to its altitude, which gives it a wonderful mysterious atmosphere. We decided on doing a hill tribe trek here instead of Northern Thailand as its slightly less commercialised and you can get a real feel of how these people live. We did a 2 day trek through the gorgeous Vietnamese countryside, as you can see from the below photos, there were rice paddies everywhere and even the odd water buffalo passing us by! We were helped down a treacherous muddy mountain by two lovely little hill tribe ladies from the La Chao tribe. I loved their traditional dress, so colourful and how cute are the kiddies! As you will notice I take alot of 'people photos' on my travels, I just feel it gives a sense of the country as well as the type of people who inhabit Vietnam.
