Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand is such a vibrant city with Tuk Tuks (little motorised taxi's that dice through traffic and leave you thinking South Africa's taxi system is not all that bad!) We arrived from a very cold Beijing (-2 deg) into Bangkok at 34 degrees and 95% humidity, so quite a change! We were also lucky to have been part of the festivities of the festival of light or in Thai 'Loi Krathong' where Thai people float candle rafts on the rivers and let off wish lanterns into the sky, simply beautiful! We also visited a nearby floating market with a very festive atmosphere and some great characters just sitting watching the world (and many tourists floating by!) Staying in the backpacker hub just of Kho San Road the nightlife and food vendors on the street make for so many great photo opportunities :) I have tried to portray just a bit of Bangkok life through the below photos, hope you are all here with me! Enjoy them xx
