Scottish Landscapes

Scotland has got to be one of my favourite countries which I have been lucky enough to both live in and visit on a number of occasions. The landscapes are breathtaking, and with the amount of gorgeous castles dotted around the Highlands and the sound of the bagpipes playing as you walk around cities such as Edinburgh, the country oozes tradition and history. A few months ago I was having a bit of a Scotland withdrawel and luckily won a competition to go up to the Highlands for a few days and escape the madness of London! Although the temperatures were freezing (it was December!) the blue skies and sun reflecting off the mirrored lochs really set the scene. I had also just invested in a wide angle lens so was itching to try it out and what better scenery to do just that! Below are a collection of the photos I took whilst travelling around the Highlands. One of my favourite spots was an Island in the north of Scotland called the 'Isle of Skye' where it is so tranquil its like stepping back in time!

Selina 'Beautiful Bump' shoot!

I met Selina almost a year ago after answering an advert for a 2nd shooter for wedding photography. We met for a coffee and clicked straight away and since then have shot a number of weddings together. As soon as I heard the good news that Selina was expecting I offered to do a maternity shoot (or what I like to call  a 'Beautiful Bump' shoot!) and Selina being a fellow photographer agreed it was a great idea to capture some memories of her and the 'Bump'. It has been great for me to see her and the bump go through the different stages and hopefully I will get to do a newborn shoot when the baby is born. Selina and her partner Neil are expecting their first little one in 6 weeks time, looking forward to meeting him or her :) I think Selina enjoyed being on the other side of the camera for a change!
